Privacy Policy

1. Collected Data

Gurbetci may collect the following data to enhance the user experience:

• Account information (name, email, phone)
• Device and location information (only when permission is granted)
• Content of messages, listings and comments
• Questions, answers and process-tracking records
• Documents you scan with the document scanner (images, text, deadlines)
• App usage statistics

2. Purpose of Data Usage

The collected data is used for the following purposes:

• To ensure the operation of services
• To facilitate communication between users
• To detect fraud or misuse
• To personalize listings and content
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

Gurbetci does not share your personal information with third parties unless you provide consent. However, sharing may occur in the following situations:

• Legal obligation (court order, request from official authorities)
• Technical infrastructure providers required to deliver the service (e.g., hosting or messaging servers)
• AI processing: for document scans, preliminary answers to questions and fraud checks, the relevant text and images are sent to OpenAI (API) for analysis only; this data is not used to train AI models.
• Identity verification is performed by Didit. Gurbetci only stores the "verified" result and its date; it does not store images of identity documents.

4. Security

User data is stored in encrypted form. Images, text and deadlines of the documents you scan are encrypted with AES-256 in your account and only you can see them. Listings and messages are automatically screened for signs of fraud (rules and AI); suspicious content is reviewed by a moderator, and a human always makes the final decision on permanent removal. An internal trust score is calculated for accounts (account age, verifications, reports); it is only used to prioritise moderation and is not shown to users. Please choose a strong password and do not share it.

5. Cookies

The application may use cookies and similar technologies to improve the user experience.

6. Data Retention Period

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. A document you delete is permanently deleted. When you choose "Delete my account", a 7-day waiting period starts; signing in during this period cancels the request. After it ends, your account and personal data (including documents, message records, posts and files) are permanently deleted. Questions and answers that help others, and your business reviews, remain under the name "Deleted user" with the link to you removed. Payment records that must be kept by law are retained without being linked to you.

7. Your Rights

• You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data.
• With Settings → "Download my data" you can download all your data (including the text of your documents) as a JSON file.
• You can turn off each notification type (unanswered questions, weekly digest, reminders, etc.) separately in Notification Preferences.

8. Amendments

The privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Updated versions will be announced within the application. Last updated: 6 October 2026.
